Town of Fletcher, North Carolina

Planning Board

Planning Board/Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Planning Board is an Advisory Board to the Town Council and makes recommendations to Council on rezoning requests, Conditional District applications, and major subdivision preliminary plats.  The Board also works on planning issues, zoning classifications, and LDC amendments.  All Board recommendations are then reviewed by the Town Council for final approval.  Citizens can contact Board representatives or attend monthly meetings with questions, concerns, or ideas related to Town planning.

The Planning Board also serves as the Zoning Board of Adjustment to address zoning issues. It is responsible for hearing zoning appeals, variances, and Special Use Permits. The ZBA interprets the Town’s Zoning Ordinance and makes quasi-judicial decisions concerning zoning. The zoning administrator is responsible for the ZBA and attends all meetings

Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Town Hall.

If you would like to volunteer for the Board, please complete and return the application form to Town Hall. Volunteer Board Application
