Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

The Town of Fletcher is seeking a person to serve on our Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. This volunteer board meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday night in the Fletcher Town Hall Multipurpose Room. The main duties of this Board include recreation policy recommendations, fundraising assistance, and event assistance. There are no financial or recreational programming responsibilities associated with this role. Members of the Advisory Board are appointed by the Fletcher Town Council.
To be considered for this position, all candidates must:
  •  Be a resident of the Town of Fletcher
  •  Be willing to serve a 3-year term on the Board
  •  Have a genuine interest in recreation and in helping to make Fletcher a great place to play and live.

Tourism Development Authority Board (Representative)

Seeking a candidate who is interested in serving on the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority Board to serve/represent the Fletcher area.

Requirements:

  • Must represent (employee or owner) of Henderson County business in the Fletcher area and does not have to be in the Fletcher city limits just in Henderson County.
  • Must be registered to vote in Henderson County and be active in the promotion of travel & tourism in Henderson County.
  • Willing to finish up a current term that expires in June 2027.  The board meets once a month on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm at the Visitor’s Center at 201 S. Main Street Hendersonville, NC
